This year, Ethnolink celebrated a significant milestone: 15 years since founder Costa Vasili started the business from his bedroom in Keysborough as a 20-year-old university student.
What began as a small translation start-up has grown into Australia’s largest multicultural communications and engagement agency, with a national team delivering research, strategy, creative, translation, media and community engagement services.

To mark the occasion, we welcomed our team, clients, partners, family and friends to a special anniversary celebration at Federation Square in Melbourne. The evening was an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far, reconnect with the people who have shaped Ethnolink over the past 15 years, and celebrate the relationships that continue to drive our work. And enjoy delicious cake!
For founder and CEO Costa Vasili, the milestone was also a chance to reflect on how far the organisation has come.
“What began as a small translation start-up has grown into Australia’s largest multicultural communications and engagement agency. That has only been possible because of the people who have believed in what Ethnolink could do and supported us along the way.”
At the heart of Ethnolink’s story is a belief that has never changed: multicultural Australia deserves to be recognised, respected and understood.

Over the past 15 years, our work has grown beyond translation to include multicultural research, community consultation, communications strategy, creative production and in-language campaign delivery. While our services have evolved, our purpose has remained the same—to help organisations communicate more effectively with Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
It was particularly meaningful to celebrate alongside Costa’s parents, whose migration journey from Cyprus helped inspire Ethnolink’s mission. Their story is a reminder of why language, belonging and cultural understanding remain at the heart of everything we do.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also look to the future with excitement. Thank you to our team, clients, partners, linguists and community members who have been part of the journey so far. We are incredibly proud of what we have built together—and even more excited for what comes next.
