New Brunswick issued 750 invitations and selections across five immigration rounds held between July 16 and July 22, 2026, the province’s largest cluster of activity since early June.
The rounds spanned all four of Immigration New Brunswick’s active intake channels: the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program’s Skilled Worker and Express Entry streams, the Strategic Initiative, and the Atlantic Immigration Program.
The largest round was a Strategic Initiative selection held on July 16, which selected 254 applications under the Francophone Workers in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Francophone Priorities pathways. It covered candidates in education and social services, food and accommodation, health care, manufacturing, professional and IT, sales and services, and transportation.
A Skilled Worker Stream round on July 18 issued 209 invitations under the New Brunswick Graduates pathway, drawing across eight occupational categories. A separate Skilled Worker round held July 16 to 18 issued 58 invitations under the New Brunswick Experience and New Brunswick Priorities pathways, restricted to construction trades and health care.
The Express Entry Stream held a round on July 16, issuing 115 invitations under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway, and the Atlantic Immigration Program selected 114 endorsement applications on July 22.

How New Brunswick manages intake
Immigration New Brunswick runs two separate pools. Under the NBPNP, candidates submit an expression of interest through the INB portal, which remains valid for 365 days. The province reviews the pool and issues invitations based on labour market needs, remaining allocation, and other provincial priorities.
Under the Atlantic Immigration Program, a candidate and their designated employer submit a complete application, which is placed in the AIP candidate pool. New Brunswick then selects applications from that pool for processing; applications not selected expire after 365 days.
Meeting the eligibility criteria for a stream does not guarantee an invitation, and receiving an invitation does not guarantee a nomination.
A nomination through the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream adds 600 points to a candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System score, which in practice guarantees an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent federal Express Entry round.
