The Coolest Clothing Brands You Didn’t Know Were Aussie

When you think of Australian fashion, you might think of flip-flops (thongs, if you want to use the correct slang!), bikinis and boardshorts.

Think again! Australia has produced some super unique clothing brands and designers, and while a lot of them have gone global, many people still don’t realise where they started. In fact, you might be wearing an Aussie fashion label right now!

Here are ten Australian clothing brands worth checking out.

Réalisation Par’s silky slip dresses have made their way into wardrobes all over the world. The Sydney brand was founded by two friends in 2015, and has built a huge following on Instagram over the past decade. If you’ve spotted a floaty floral dress at brunch and wondered where to buy it, there’s a good chance it was from Realisation Par.

Streetwear and denim brand Ksubi began in 1999, founded by a group of Sydney surfers and musicians who were sick of not finding jeans that fit right. The denim brand has since become a favourite among the hip hop community, complete with a sold-out Travis Scott collaboration in 2017.

Christopher Esber launched his designer label in 2010 and has become one of Australia’s biggest fashion exports, debuting at Paris Fashion Week and winning the prestigious Andam Prize in 2024. You may have even spotted his clothing on the red carpet.

Founded in 2016 by ex-Ksubi creatives, Double Rainbouu is one of Australia’s coolest (and most colourful) streetwear brands. Their Hawaiian shirts will make you feel like it’s summer all year round.
